Pain Management

Patients suffering from chronic pain are often desperate for relief and have probably tried over the counter topical pain medications that offer temporary minimal relief. But for chronic, severe pain caused by an underlying disease, a Compounded Prescription offers effective results. As a Compounding Only Pharmacy we have far more options than even commercially available prescription medicines

At Marlowe’s Compounding we work together with the patient in pain and the practitioner in the Pharmacy Triad treating them to find the right formula and strength to treat their particular pain. Our physicians are impressed with the resources available to us through our association with Professional Compounding Centers of America enabling us to combine several pain relieving drugs with different modes of action.

As an example we can combine an anti-inflammatory, an anesthetic and an antidepressant in a highly effective transdermal cream or gel for application directly to a trigger point. We use the highest quality bases that penetrate the dermal layer. Using a topical rather than oral delivery avoids the gastrointestinal system and the liver is by-passed, not compromised.

When we combine various agents they alter the pain by their own unique mode, the concentration of the compounded medication is considerably less than using a single drug. Physicians appreciate this fact.

We delight in the time honored science of Pharmacy Compounding by creating specialized medicines for individual patients from their doctor’s prescription.
